Connecting with our community and providing assistance where needed, is the foundation for who we are individually and as a company.

Mississippi Lime employees are passionate about fighting cancer.  This past year, they participated in the “Ride To Survive” fundraiser in St. Genevieve and “Pedal The Cause” in St. Louis.  Each charitable organization raises funds to help local hospitals provide the best cancer care possible.

One of the organizers for the “Ride to Survive” event commented, “A large part of the Ride’s success was due to Mississippi Lime Company’s efforts.  The company’s employees staged a community barbecue and raffle. In addition, over 20 employees participated in the event, including Vernon Bader, who helps us organize the Ride each year.  We are very appreciative of their generosity and support shown for SGCMH. It’s community support like this that allows us to provide quality healthcare right here at home.”

Through their fundraising efforts for “Ride To Survive,” Mississippi Lime donated $15,000 that was used to upgrade the existing mammogram machine at St. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

With “Pedal The Cause,” several leaders within Mississippi Lime had the opportunity to participate in a team-building event, competing against other teams to see who could build a child’s bike the fastest.  Jubi, a child who has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, was the recipient of the bike they built.  With the help of HBM and our collective employees, we raised $55,000 for Pedal The Cause.

Mississippi Lime looks forward to participating in the 2017 “Ride To Survive” in St. Genevieve on June 17th and “Pedal The Cause” will be held September 23 – 24 in St. Louis.  We hope you will join us in participating in one of these worthwhile events.
