Last week, HBM’s CEO, Andy Fincher, announced expanded leadership roles for Amy Fields and Andy Fulford. During the announcement, Fincher said “These roles reflect the evolution of HBM’s strategy and of our operations.”
Amy Fields was named SVP Administration and Chief People Officer. In this role, Amy will assume new responsibilities focusing on board relations, marketing and communications, and broader engagement in M&A and other portfolio collaboration and operations.
Amy joined HBM in 2016 and has led the evolution and scale of best practices in talent and rewards across the portfolio, facilitated several critical leadership transitions at HBM and at the portfolio levels, and played a significant role integrating and supporting new companies into the HBM portfolio.
Before joining HBM, Amy held HR leadership roles with Intalere and with Solutia (now Eastman). She holds both a Masters and a Bachelors degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
Andy Fulford was promoted to VP Corporate Development and Strategy. Andy will assume additional responsibilities for leading the development of our strategic plans and for driving the coordination of our strategic efforts across the enterprise. As part of his role, he will be working to fully analyze our current portfolio, and further define our key investment areas. He will continue to lead business development efforts for HBM, coordinate inorganic growth initiatives at the portfolio level, and oversee the work of the HBM corporate development team.
Since joining HBM in 2018, Andy has contributed substantially to the strategy and growth efforts across the portfolio, including the recent close of the HarperLove acquisition, leading strategy consulting work to develop target marketspaces for growth, supporting our operating company growth plans, and re-shaping the Associate program.
Before joining HBM, Andy held a strategic planning role at Graybar Electric Company and corporate development roles at Aegion Corporation. Andy has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, an MA from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA from Davidson College.
These promotions put HBM in an even stronger position to move forward on our growth journey. We look forward to the continued success Amy and Andy will help deliver as we move ahead in 2020.
