Annual Finance Summit brings learning, networking, and axe-throwing

Last week, HBM brought together our enterprise-wide finance teams for three days of learning, networking, and fun. This year the team met in Nashville, TN and focused on the following objectives:

During the finance summit, attendees had the opportunity to hear opening remarks from Don Roberts, Sr. VP Corporate Development & CFO where he emphasized the importance of sharing ideas around financial bridges and productivity, talent development, and organic growth.  Attendees had the opportunity to hear from our portfolio company CFOs on topics ranging from supply chain challenges/opportunities to acquisition valuation techniques.

Each day, the group broke out in cross-company teams to share strategies and tactics on utilizing Prophix, analytical review of financial statements and capital project case studies.  The summit concluded with the attendees committing to taking away new tools and best practices in finance when they return to their organization.

In addition to a fun-filled agenda, attendees had the opportunity to network while attending several team building activities including axe-throwing, a music studio experience, and Goo Goo Cluster making.
